Terms of service

1. What this is

These terms govern your use of this website and the interface it provides. The interface lets you interact with the MING mining protocol, a permissionless, open-source protocol that runs on a public blockchain and that nobody controls. The people who publish the interface, called the operator in these terms, host the interface only. They do not control the protocol, do not hold your funds and cannot move them. By using the interface you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

The protocol is wallet based. There are no accounts and no registration. You interact with its contracts through your own wallet, every transaction is recorded on the public network, and none of them can be reversed.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and legally allowed to use a product like this there. By using the interface you confirm that you are, and that you have the capacity to agree to these terms. You are responsible for knowing the rules that apply to you. If they forbid it, do not use it.

3. How the protocol works

Miners deploy BNB on any of 25 tiles during a round. When the round closes, one tile is drawn from a verifiable randomness source that nobody can steer. The miners on the drawn tile share the round's payout, which is the BNB the whole grid deployed less the protocol fee of 10% and the admin fee of 1%, in proportion to what each put on the tile, together with the MING the protocol pays that round. 9% of every round buys MING back on the open market, of which 95% is burned and 5% goes to stakers, and 1% buys XAUT into the goldpot, which pays out to the drawn tile one round in 250. Rounds with nobody on the drawn tile pay nobody.

The grid distributes MING the way proof-of-work distributes a mined coin, without the hardware. The full description, with every number, is in the About section of the site. Where the contracts and any description differ, the contracts decide.

4. Your responsibilities

You alone are responsible for your wallet, your private keys and anything that gives access to them. The operator never stores them and cannot recover them. Losses from a compromised wallet, a phishing site or your own mistake are yours.

You must follow every law that applies to you, including laws on money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions and tax. You are responsible for reporting and paying any tax that arises from your use of the protocol. The operator gives no tax advice and withholds nothing.

You agree not to use the interface for anything illegal, not to attack, reverse engineer or interfere with the interface, the contracts or the network, not to use bots or scripts to manipulate the protocol or gain an unfair advantage, not to transmit malicious code, not to infringe anyone's rights or harass anyone, and not to misrepresent who you are.

5. Risks and disclaimers

Using a blockchain protocol carries real risk, and by using the interface you accept it. BNB, MING and XAUT can move sharply in price, and MING can become worthless. There is no guarantee of any payout or return: the protocol distributes a token, it is not an investment. Transactions cannot be reversed, and a wrong address, network congestion, a fork or a flaw in a contract can lose funds. The contracts may contain errors even after review, and the operator is not liable for losses from them. Regulation can change and affect the protocol or your ability to use it. The interface relies on third parties, including the network, wallets and price sources, and the operator is not liable for their failures.

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, hold or sell anything. THE INTERFACE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Payments and transactions

Every transaction happens on the public network in BNB, MING or XAUT. The operator processes no fiat payments and holds no assets for you. Network fees are yours to pay. Because the network is immutable, every transaction is final and nothing is refunded. Refining MING carries a 10% deduction shared among miners still holding unrefined MING.

MING is a token of the protocol, mined through participation. It has no value outside the protocol and is not a security or an investment.

7. Privacy

Your use of the interface is also governed by the privacy policy on this site, which explains what is collected, such as wallet addresses and IP addresses, and how it is used. By using the interface you consent to it.

8. Events beyond control

The operator is not liable for any failure or delay of the interface caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, government action, network outages, attacks on infrastructure or internet failures. In such cases the operator will make reasonable efforts to restore the interface as soon as practicable. The protocol continues to exist on the public network regardless, and your balances stay claimable through it.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, THE OPERATOR AND ANYONE WORKING WITH IT ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR CRYPTOCURRENCY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE INTERFACE OR THE PROTOCOL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY, AND INCLUDING LOSS CAUSED BY THE RISKS IN Section 5. THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED 100 US DOLLARS.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the operator and anyone working with it from any claim, loss, liability, expense or damage, including legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the interface or your infringement of anyone's rights.

11. Termination

The operator may suspend or end your access to the interface at any time, without notice, for any reason, including a suspected breach of these terms. Your right to use the interface ends then, while Section 5, Section 9 and Section 10 continue to apply. The protocol itself remains reachable on the public network without the interface.

12. Changes to these terms

The operator may update these terms by publishing a new version on this site. Using the interface after a change means you accept the changed terms, subject to Section 2. Check back now and then.

By using the interface you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.
